Zadar is an old greek colony Idassa or the old roman Jadera, the life has not stopped since the last 3000 years almost.The University in Zadar from the 14th cent. is one of the oldest in Europe. Today is the 5th town of Croatia with 75000 inhabitants.
While in the town don't forget to visit GOLD AND SILVER OF ZADAR inside the Benedictin's monastery , The Sea organs , Cathedral, St. Simon's church, The Archeological museum, People's squere...Feel the atmosphere of the typical mediterranian town. Go and have a drink in Arsenal or the famous (don't remeber the name) lounge bar on the city walls....
Outside Zadar dont forget to go to Nin, or have 24/7 parties and close to it nude swimming in Zrce (Novalja) on Island of Pag (bridge). Not so far from the town u have many national parks - NP PLITVICE LAKES (UNESCO site), Krka waterfalls, Paklenica, KORNATI ISLANDS, North Velebit. Visit also SIBENIK (Unesco), Primosten, TROGIR (Unesco), Diocletian's Palace in SPLIT (UNESCO).
Nude places: Pag island -Jakisnica, Zrce, Sveti Duh Island Silba, Olib, Premuda, Ist, Molat , Iz - connections from Zadar harbour all have nude beaches. Dugi otok - island has sandy nude beaches . 24km south in Kozarica, Pakostane , another nude place. Island Ugljan - Sabus, near Kukljica. Island Pasman - Sovinje, nude beaches and camping site. In every little bay on the islands u can swimm nude if u want.... Close to Zadar , north towards Nin in Zaton used to be another nude place. But about that not sure anymore.
