HELP-Where to go Istrian Region

Hi,

My Wife and I will be visiting Croatia for the first time, the beginning of October and staying in and around Porec.

Can any of the subscribers recommend any places and quiet beaches to visit by land or sea?. We will probably hire a car, so distance within reason wont be too much of a problem.

Area around Rovinj has some beautiful beaches, especially south of Rovinj where there are many nice coves and bays.
This site www.inforovinj.com/eng/plaze/index.asp has a great beach guide where you can find lots of photos, a interactive map and detailed descriptions. Check beaches south of camping Vestar.
